A visitor shows up on Christmas Day with a child who looks at Ryan as if he’s the man on the moon.
Theresa is warm and soft and kisses Ryan on cheek without letting go of Daniel’s hand.
Instant clarity.
Ryan’s not sure if he’s about to receive a present or a lump of coal.
“I lied about Eddie. I had to. You weren’t ready. But Daniel asked me today and I can’t lie to him and he wanted to meet you. I’m so sorry, Ryan.”
There’s plenty of food.
Kirsten cooked extra.
And soon, it’ll be a new year.
Miracle:
“It’s a Wonderful Life?” Seth asks hopefully. “A Christmas Story? National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation?”
Ryan stares at him. “Ummmmmm.”
“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer? Miracle on 34th Street?”
Seth stares intently back, asks skeptically, “Are you actually telling me you don’t have a favorite Christmas movie? How is that possible?”
No, he doesn’t have a favorite Christmas movie because, well, for starters… no man should.
“Uh…no. Got nothin’.”
“We rescued you just in time,” Seth tells him, nodding furiously. He stops suddenly and asks, “You have heard of Santa…right?”
Ryan raises his eyebrows and fastballs a shiny bulb at Seth head.

I could totally see something like this in the canon-future.
Of course Seth would have a favorite Christmas movie. How minty of him.
And I can so totally see this scene at some point in canon.

Hm, if that "letter to Santa" would work, I would actually start believing in Santa again. But I guess, I just stay the girl, who can't stop nudging although she should praise the wonderful drabbles instead. Sorry, I can't help it.
